The Foundation was committed to providing support and assistance to adults and children diagnosed with brain tumours, their carers and family, and also to the advancement of the treatment, and research of these conditions. Apart from provide financial assistance we also funded 14 research projects.

The James Crofts Hope Foundation Inc. was formed in February 2001, in Perth, Western Australia. It is a licensed and registered charity, dedicated to assist brain tumour sufferers in Australia and to support their carers and family in any way that we can.

Why Are We Here

A young and courageous 12 year old boy, James Crofts was fighting a very rare and aggressive form of brain tumour – glioblastoma multiforma, grade 4. He had been sent home many times to die, but due to his sheer will and strength of character he lived far beyond the time anyone had expected. James had undergone two major brain surgeries as well as chemotherapy.

In February 2001 James was befriended by a country and western music star in Dallas, Texas, United States of America. Joey Edwards paid for James and his parents to travel to America to undergo a genetic therapy. 

Due to the prohibitive costs of treatment, his extended family in Perth, Western Australia established the James Crofts Hope Foundation to help pay for James’ treatment, and to spread hope to those families in need, with children and adults who had been diagnosed with brain cancer or brain tumours.

Sadly, James died in June 2001. It was his fervent wish that the Foundation would continue to help other people diagnosed with brain cancer and brain tumours, both adults and children, their families, and carers.

The James Crofts Hope Foundation Inc. has established this online Resource Centre where brain tumour patients and their carers and family can access information about the various types of cancers.

It has been brought to our attention that a "Leslie Christie" "Morrie Gunst" and other Aliases, has been informing people that we were shut down due to fraud??
This man is a sick and depraved coward that hides behind aliases to destroy the good work of the charity and its volunteers.
This charity has passed 26 years of audits and none of the office bearers or volunteers have benefited financially from the charity. In fact they have lost wages and time from their own jobs and lives to do the volunteer work.

It comes about from something that is unrelated to the charity.

The man spreading these untruths was disowned by his own mother due to his abuse of her when she was alive. She wrote him out of her will and when he contested it, the Supreme Court of WA upheld her wishes and the proceeds of her estate went to her Granddaughter.

He bitterly continues to abuse anyone that gave evidence of his abuse of his mother and other family members
A five-year Misconduct Restraining Order was awarded against him when he was abusive online to one of the volunteers of this charity, but he is now after 12 years of abuse targeting other family members in untruthful ways to indirectly be a nuisance (to say the least) to the volunteer. It would seem he has no conscience or care about the lives of others that only want to help people in need, or are in need themselves.

My understanding is that he lives interstate and is alone with no family or friends. He has totally isolated himself due to his nature.

Please prey for his healing and hopefully he has an epiphany one day soon.
